Paul Soto, Jr., 23, of Bay City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Born on October 6, 2001, in Bay City to Paul Soto and Diana Garza Soto, Paul brought joy and light to all who knew him.

A proud graduate of Bay City High School's Class of 2020, Paul went on to attend Wharton County Junior College. Known for his charismatic spirit, quick wit, and unforgettable smile, Paul had a way of lighting up every room he entered. He was a natural storyteller, often jotting down his thoughts in one of his many journals—usually with his favorite Starbucks drink in hand.

Paul had an eye for style, especially when it came to his favorite Polo Ralph Lauren pieces. Whether he was shopping, writing, or spending time with those he loved, Paul lived with authenticity and heart. Above all, he adored his family and his beloved dogs, holding them closest to his soul.

Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nick and Mary Garza and Mercedes Soto, and his nephew, Gregory Ruddick. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Diana G. Soto; father, Paul Soto; sisters, Christina Zavala (Jonathan), Monika Cambray, and Cynthia Houston; and his brother, Paul Ryan Soto.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. led by Deacon Joe Ramos. Paul will be laid to rest at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Serving as pallbearers are Julio Garza, Jonathan Zavala, Paul Ryan Soto, Nick Garza, Jr., Elijah Boxhill, and Raymundo Cambray III.

Though Paul's time with us was far too short, his vibrant spirit, deep love, and unforgettable laughter will live on in all who had the joy of knowing him.
