A little short Love story:

I met Pat at the Holliday Inn, at the time of that meeting I fell in love and did not even know the woman. On our first date we went to Renaissance Festival and spent the day there. At that time, I knew I was in love with this woman and made plans in my mind to make her my wife for life.

At that time, she worked at Coastal Furniture, I would go by where she lived every day and leave a card on her car. At lunch I would leave a card on her car, with small, short love notes. This went on for one year, during this time we were dating and primarily going together, one year later I ask her again to please marry me and she said yes, we got married on April 9, 1982.

We had 44 years of bliss together, the first five years were a little shaky as I had been single for five years, but love covers many things.

Pat and I bought a boat, a 20' Wellcraft Center Console and hit the gulf fishing nearly every weekend. She loved to fish, we traveled some weekends. Pat at that time had a very nice 1980 Corvette, I had a square body 1980 Chevy short bed truck bright red in color four-wheel drive, we either duck hunted the beaches or fished all the cuts up and down the beach, love was always in the air around us.

In or around the early 90's Mr. Wilkie sold the store to Pat. Pat ran the store and bought and sold Antique, bedding and new furniture. She called her place, Furniture & Things. She sold I delivered, she ran the store for ten years.

At that time her health had started to decline and she sold the contents of her inventory and closed the doors.

Pat was the rock of my life, in 2018 I was diagnosed with stage four cancer, if it had not been for this lady I would have most likely passed on. She attended to me and took care of me, I have taken care of Pat for the last three years. Love is a wonderful thing.

I would not trade or change anything that took place in that forty-four years of life with her, as I stated she was my rock, I worship the ground she walked on.

There will be no services or celebration of life, Pat will be cremated and I will take her home with me, when I pass, I will be cremated and we will both be buried in the same plot at Cedarvale Cemetery. At that time there will be a celebration of life service for the both of us at the cemetery.
