Patricia Ann Benavides, 61, of Bay City, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2022. She was born September 10, 1960.

She is preceded in death by her mother Susana Benavides, sister Lydia Ann Benavides, and brother John Manuel Benavides.

Survivors include 3 sisters: Rosemary Montalbo (Greg), Maria Machado (Benny), and Clara Hurtado (Abel); sister-in-law: Sylvia Benavides (heavenly husband John); favorite aunt: Lupe Benavides, who has always been dear to her heart; God Son: John Manuel Brito; and very special cousin Lucia Benavides, who was Patricia's best friend, right hand and by her side until the very end. She also survived by several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Patricia was the definition of love. Every chance she had, she spent it with family. Her most favorite times included thanksgiving and Christmas. Good food and family laughter were some of the things she loved most.  You could always find her taking pictures, always wanting to capture memories. Memories that we will forever have engraved in our hearts.

To the one who couldn't speak but made sure the world heard her loud and clear.

To the one who couldn't hear but somehow always knew what was going on.

To the one whose laughter was laced with healing.

To the one whose arms always had room for one more.

We never thought goodbye would come so soon. Never thought we would have to exist in a world without you.

We cannot promise you that tears won't fall, cannot promise that we won't be sad or angry at times. But we can promise to never stop laughing or living the way you did, loud and passionately. We promise to make it to heaven so we can see each other again one day. So it's okay, you rest now. We got it from here.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with Father Gabriel Espinosa officiating.
