Otilie Annie Hickl, 92, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 15, 2010. She was born December 22, 1917 in Frydek, TX to the late Frank and Frances Sliva Hamala. She served her Lord in her Catholic faith in the Altar Society, praying the Rosary and attending Mass.

She is survived by her children: James Hickl of Fairchild, Doris Wendel of Angleton and Patricia Gavranovic of Wharton; by brothers: James Hamala of Houston and Steve Hamala of Pasadena; by 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 step-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, August Hickl; by her parents; a sister: Frances Hauerland; and by brothers: Louie, Frank, John, Emil, Dominik and Rev. Joseph Hamala.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 18, 2010, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing with Rev. Samuel Appiasi , celebrant, and Rev. Peter Yeboah-Amanfo, co-celebrant. Interment will immediately follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing.
