Otha Lee Bona, 80, of Bay City passed away June 4, 2005 in Bay City. She was born February 15, 1925 in Broadus, Texas to Elijah and Stella Coleman Harvey. She retired from the City of Bay City with 30 years of service and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lyndelle Bona of Bay City, by four sisters, Norene Murry of Collegeport, Shirley LeCompte of Danbury, Faustine Fief of Danbury, and Peggy Davis of Houston; by two brother, Paul Harvey of Danbury and Cliff Harvey of Plano, Texas; and by one grandchild, Cindy Bona Muskiet and three great grandchildren, Chance and Whitney Muskiet and Meagan Schrader. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Monnie Hancock, sisters, Vernelda Peltier and Merle Harvey, a brother, Don Harvey, and a granddaughter, Teri Bona Schrader..
Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers were Chuck Harris, Anthony LeCompte, Paul Murry, Robert Murry, Wayne Harvey, and Thomas Harvey. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.
Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.
