Oscar M. Clayton Passed away in the comfort and care of his home late Tuesday morning November 11, 2008. Mr. Clayton was born September 3, 1942 in Hagensport, Texas to the parents of John and Effie Mae Clayton. Oscar formerly of Bay City, Texas and currently of Kilgore, Texas.

Mr. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents Effie Mae Henry & John Jepsey Clayton, one brother W.J. Clayton and two sisters Etter Mae and Lillian Ruth Martin. Oscar is survived by his loving wife Judy Clayton of Kilgore, Texas; three sons, David Clayton of Wharton, Texas, Wesley Clayton of Yorktown, Texas, Glenn Clayton of Port Lavacca Texas, and one Stepson Keith Mount of Houston, Texas; Seven Grandchildren, Josh, Drew, Ashley, Cody, Shelby, Austin, and Brylee Clayton; two sisters Joy Murphree and Dorothy Wymack of Bay City, Texas; two brothers A.G. Clayton of Conroe Texas and James Clayton of Bay City, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Oscar will be deeply missed by all who new and loved him.

Visitation will be Friday November 14, 2008 5:00P.M. -7:00P.M. at Royal Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday November 15, 2008 at 11:00A.M. in the Chapel of Hope at Royal Valley Funeral Home Quitman, Texas. Mike Gribble pastor of Kilgore Missionary Baptist Church will be serving as officiate. Pallbearers will include Randy Hunter, John Shedd, J.W. Thompson, Charlie Elkins, Joshua Clayton, Drew Clayton, Cody Clayton, and Brandon Adams. Honorary pallbearers Jayson Hunter, and Shannon Byrd.
