Ophelia C. Kidder-de los Santos, 83, of Sugar Land passed away August 13, 2015. She was born August 31, 1931 in Gulf, TX to the late Guadalupe and Rosa Cantu. She retired as a Personnel Associate for Houston ISD and was a member of Houston Education Office Personnel Association. She spent a lot of her childhood visiting relatives in Mexico and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband later on.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 52 years, Rudolph Kidder a sister Oralia Cantu Rodriguez and granddaughter Amanda Kay Hyde. Survivors include husband Emilio de los Santos; her children Rebecca Morris, Rudolph Kidder, Jr., Kimberly Hyde and Gary Wayne Kidder; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home followed by a recitation of the rosary at 6:30 PM. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Morris, Jr., Kyler Kidder, Travis Hyde, Daryl Rose, Gary Kidder and Roland Rodriguez.
