Ophelia Rendon Barrera of Blessing went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 20, 2016. Ophelia was born on May 15, 1941 in Matagorda, Texas to the late Fred O. and Annie Solis Rendon.

Ophelia's love and happiness were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also happy spending time with the love of her life, her husband Abelino Barrera. She loved to cook for her family. She loved to watch wrestling on T.V.. She loved to read Western Novels. She also loved to put large puzzles together.

Ophelia is survived by her loving family children; son Ryan Rendon Longoria, daughters Darla Ortiz, Kayla Sanchez, Tanya Guerrero, Starr Cruz and Crystal Zepeda; grandchildren Joe Galvan Jr. & Haylee Galvan, Steven Galvan & wife Ashley, Kaymi Palmer & husband Josh, Robert Sanchez, Jr., Kaitlin Sanchez, Jeremy Guerrero & wife Alexandra, Johnny Guerrero, James Cruz Jr., Juliet Cruz, David Zepeda Jr., and Desiree Zepeda; great grandchildren Aubrey, Olivia, Javon, Oliver Galvan, Emmiry, Huntyr & Kayden Palmer, and Jeremy Guerrero Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Abelino Barrera, and brothers Fred Rendon, Jr. and Benny Rendon.

Visitation will be Monday, May 23 from 5:00-8:00p.m. with a rosary service at 6:00p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Midfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Matthew Ortiz, Roberto Sanchez, Tiofilo Guerrero Jr., James Cruz Jr., David Zepeda and grandson, Joe Luis Galvan Jr.
