Olivia Cervantes Montalbo, age 95 of Bay City, Texas died peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born on June 23, 1923, in Boling, Texas to Reyes Cervantes and Tomasa Moreno.

Olivia loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.

Living her life in the Catholic faith, when she became immobile, members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church helped her continue to participate in Holy Communion each Sunday by visiting her home. She will be remembered for her forgiving heart and ability to love all who entered her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchilren.She was a multi-talented woman who could sew, play the harmonica, make the best tortillas and never left her home without looking her best.

Olivia was preceded in death by her loving husband Faustino V. Montalbo, Sr., her daughter Rosita and sons, Faustino, Jr. (and wife Carol), Guadalupe, Jesse and Joe Daniel. Also preceding her in death, grandchildren Christopher Montalbo and Domingo Garcia, Jr.  She is survived by her children, Mary Jasso of Bay City, Rosa Garcia (Domingo) of Angleton, Manuel Montalbo (Linda) of Batesville, Arkansas and Gilberto "Tito" Montalbo of Rosenberg. Grandchildren, Jonnie Montalbo, Erica Perez, Joey Medina, Jamie Montalvo, Ronnie Pruitt, Mary Sanchez, Daniel Montalbo, Wallace Montalbo, Martina Moreno, Sylvester Garcia, Levi Garcia, Angela Walker, Merissa Hudson, Shalena Montalbo and David Montalbo; 36 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her youngest brother Joe Caballero of Houston, Texas and various nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Family will begin receiving friends and relatives for viewing at 3 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 9 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers are Brandon Montalvo, Sylvester Garcia, David Silva, Jr., Michael Huerta, Gabriel Lamay and Jesse Montalbo.
