Olinda Aoughsten, 86, of Palacios passed away on February 14, 2022.

She was born November 29, 1935 in Basinger, Florida to the late Milton A. and Nellie Mae Thompson.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Joseph and wife Laura, son Wensel and wife Jacqueline; seven granddaughters, Tanya and husband Isaac Almeida, Stephanie and husband Luke Bodie,Taylor Aoughsten, Rachel Aoughsten, Erin and husband Ryan Bullacher, Mamie Aoughsten, Danielle and husband Lupito Betancourt; six great grandchildren Morgan, Brenna, Everly, Levi, Claire and Maren; and sister Alice Ming.

Olinda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward, her parents and siblings Sam Thompson and Daisy Mayberry.

Visitation for friends and family will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Palacios Funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with Rev. Jack Meyer officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Hawley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Almeida, Luke Bodie, Ryan Bullacher, Lupito Betancourt, Henry O'Connor and Jason O'Connor.
