Odessa Keyes, 82, of Bay City died November 5, 2005 at Bay Villa Nursing Center. She was born April 8, 1923 in Needville, TX to the late Joe and Mary Jashek Boone. Mrs. Keyes was a resident of Bay City the past 60 years and was a Baptist.
Survivors include: husband: Alvin C. Keyes of Bay City; sons 7 daughters-in-law: James Hanzik of Bay City, Ronald W. & Judy Hanzik of Aiken, SC, Gerald & Pam of Richwood, & Gail T. Hanzik of Wadsworth; sister: Laizetta Price of West Columbia; brother: Joe Boone of Guy, TX; by 8 grandchildren: Jamie Anderson & husband Link of Van Vleck, Amber & Angel Hanzik both of Van Vleck, Lisa Hanzik of Houston, Leslie Hubbard of Sweeny, Kiersten Hanzik of Shelton, WA, and Daniel & Krystal Hanzik both of Bay City: and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son: Danny Hanzik; sisters: Florence Rhiner and Myrtle Reeves; and brother; Frank Boone.
Funeral Service was held 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers were Link Anderson, Lee Hubbard, Eugene Welfel, John Paul Bundick, Timmy Goodman and Milton Poehls. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Boone, Gary Boone, Donald Rhiner, Conald Rhiner and her nephews. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
