Nora Beth Stone, 74, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in Houston, TX. She was born February 24, 1935 in Wharton, TX to the late Henry Kennedy and Emma Peebles Kennedy. She was a lifelong resident of Bay City, a dance teacher, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City.

She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Watson and husband Doug of Bay City; by her son: Doug Stone and wife Liesa of Cedarville, OH; by her grandchildren: Morgan and Camille Watson and Christopher and Mark Stone; and by her niece: Michaelee Franz and nephew: Carl Hoffman, both of Alvin. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles C. Stone, Jr.; by her parents; by sisters: Louise Smith, Wilda Hoffman and Mary Jo Kennedy; and by her brothers: Lofton, Gerald, and Harrison Kennedy.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City with Rev. Michael Sydnor and Rev. Michael Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
