Nora Lee Bucek, 93, of Bay City passed away October 19, 2017. She was born October 12, 1924 in Smiley, Texas to the late Ruben Lee Leaser and Albina Sedlacek Leaser.

She married Wilton John "Bill" Bucek July 23, 1938. They were married 65 years before his death in 2004. She spent hours and hours caring for their home and her beautiful yard.

She is survived by her daughter Jo Nell Powell and her husband Joe of Bay City; her son John Wayne Bucek, Sr. and his wife Linda of Markham; her sister Alice Danner of Mexia, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Monday, October 23, 2017 at Taylor Bros Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm at Roselawn Memorial Park. Rev. Chester Sassman will be officiating.
