Noe Escobedo, Sr, 66, of Bay City, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008. He was born March 14, 1942 in Harlingen, TX to Pedro Escobedo and Santos Gamez Escobedo. He was a resident of Bay City for the past 37 years, a member of the Filadelphia Pentecostal Church of Bay City, and a Supervisor for the Bay City Gas Company.

He is survived by his children: Luis H. Garza & wife Pabla of El Campo, Rosa Castro, Angelica Vega & husband Baltazar, Noe Escobedo, Jr & wife Florentina, Javier Escobedo, Sr & wife Martha, Patricia Escobedo & husband Demetric Monroe and Veronica Mora, all of Bay City; by his sisters: Kina Garcia of Dallas and Juana Escobedo of Matamores, Mexico; his brothers: Benjamin Escobedo of Brownsville and Rodrigo Escobedo of Houston; and by 29 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Herlinda Escobedo; his parents: Pedro & Santos Escobedo; sisters: Lupe Caballo and Ninfa Garcia; and a brother: Marino Escobedo.

Prayer services will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday and Thursday evening at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 18, 2008 at Filadelphia Pentecostal Church in Bay City with Rev. Candido Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, TX. Pallbearers will be Gregory Castro Jr., Baltazar Vega, Edward Zamora, Noe Escobedo Jr., Javier Escobedo Sr., Javier Escobedo Jr., Demitric Monroe, and Enrique Barron.
