Ninfa Orozco Flores was born February 21, 1939 to Manuel Orozco Gomez and Petra Solis Orozco.  She passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022 in Palacios, TX at 83 years of age.

Ninfa was the heart and soul of her family.  Her strength and love held her 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren together.  Her house was a home to all, where an open door welcomed with the scent of her amazing food, the sound of children, and stories of her life and struggles.  You could talk to Grandma about anything or nothing at all, because she had an amazing ability to connect with those she loved.  She was always up for an adventure, enjoying whatever celebrations her family planned, and travelling to many places across the country, most recently taking a cruise to Alaska and Canada.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert G. Flores; 3 brothers, Arturo, Jose Angel and Refugio S. Orozco; 2 sisters, Amparo Orozco Garcia, Amalia Orozco Garza and son in law Arnold "Potsy" Serna Jr.

She leaves behind sisters Ofelia Orozco Aguilar and Gloria Orozco Rivera; 6 children, Michael Flores (Tammy), Sylvia Garcia (John), Robert Flores Jr. (Astrid), Brenda Serna, Randal Flores (Victoria), and Sharon Estraca (Pete), 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.  She will also be missed by her faithful friend, neighbor and honorary son, Fred Middleton Jr. and by all those who knew her as "Grandma."

Our hearts are broken but we are grateful to God for the time we had with you and the strength you gave us with the story of your life.  Your love lives on in us Grandma, until we are with you again.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Palacios Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eric Young officiating.  Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jason Young, Jeremy Young, Lawrence Crews, Kaleb Garcia, Chase Cervenka and Stephen Sosa.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Young, Elisha Flores, Matthew Flores, James Frangullie and Fred Middleton Jr.
