Obituary
Nieves P. Perez, 84, of Palacios passed away March 18, 2013. She was born August 5, 1928 in Port Lavaca, TX to the late Placido Perez and Conception Farias Perez.
Her husband, Manuel Garcia Perez, daughter Virginia Pardo, step-daughter Pauline Carvajal, sisters Pauline Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez & Susie Martinez, and brother Alex Perez all preceded her in death. Survivors include her life partner Jose Perrusquia of Palacios; daughters Teresa Gonzales (Herby), Estella Lucio (Gilbert) all of Palacios; step-daughter Olga Perez of Alvin; son: Larry Pena (Vicky) of Palacios; sisters Celia Rendon, Mary Mendez, Mary Lou Valesquez all of Port Lavaca, Alice Harvey (Raymond) of Palacios, and Helen Valesquez of Victoria; brother Johnny "Fidel" Perez of Port Lavaca; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Wednesday at Palacios Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Bryan Heyer officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Gonzales, Steve Gonzales, Mark Gonzales, Lawrence Pena, Eric Pardo and Anthony Pardo.
