Antonia Antoinette "Nettie" Rogers, 83, of Bay City passed away July 7, 2009. She was born April 2, 1926 in Matagorda County, TX to the late Louis William & Julia Letzerich Richers. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, Friends of the Library, Bay City Book Review Club, Bay City Country Club, Blessing American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Matagorda County Museum.

She married Edward J. Brueggen in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1969. She then married Elmer L. Rogers in 1984 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Sister Genevieve Gaudet and brothers Frank, Otto & L. W. Richers also preceded her in death. Survivors include sisters Judy O'Roark of Dallas, Sybella Green and Lilly Carr both of Bay City, & Elveria Cenerosek of Helotes, TX; brother Sherwood Richers of Albuquerque, New Mexico and a number of Nieces, Nephews and dear friends.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Carr, Kirk Carr, Pete Green, Doug Green, Aaron Penland, Barry O'Roark and Johann Richers. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross School.
