Obituary
Nellie P. Woods, 92, of Bay City passed away Jan. 12, 2009. She was born Feb. 24, 1916 in Matagorda to the late Edgar & Annie Yeamans Dunbar.
Her husbands Robert Broussard and Henry Woods both preceded her in death as well as brothers E. L. "Buck" Dunbar, Norbert Keith "Kessie" Dunbar and Richard Raymond Dunbar and sister Dorothy M. Guzzo. Survivors include daughters Betty Huffman of Bay City and Annie Elliott & husband Kenneth of Bay City; step-son Delbert Woods of Cuero; sister Patsy Wright of San Carlos, CA; grandchildren Robert Huffman, Michael Huffman, Christina Elliott, Kenneth Elliott, Jr. and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. Grandsons Robert Huffman, Michael Huffman, Kenneth Elliott, Daniel Huffman, Joshua Huffman and Anthony Elliott will serve as pallbearers.
