Myra V. Ryman, 74, of Wadsworth went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2009 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Myra was born June 27, 1934 to Oscar & Verna Folmar in Strettman, Texas. She was the only girl out of 7 children. She graduated in 1951 at the age of 16. She then graduated Salutatorian of her class from college as an LVN. She worked as a pharmacy technician for 17 years in Bay City.
Myra had been a resident of Wadsworth for 47 years and a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Bay City. She found true love and married John D. Ryman of Wadsworth in 1952, they were married 32 years before he passed.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Ray Ryman; brothers Roy, Oscar & Kenneth Wayne Folmar and great grandchild Wade Alan Baker. Myra is survived by daughters Sharon Rather & husband Eddie of Wadsworth & Lisa Sullivan & husband Pat of Friendswood.; son Douglas Ryman & wife Susan of Wadsworth; brothers Dan, Jimmy and Jerald Folmar; grandchildren Douglas Ryman, Jr., Marty Van Dyke, Crystal Baker, Jim Bob Van Dyke, Kenneth Ryman, Jr. and Clint & Tyler Sullivan; great grandchildren Ashlynn, Lauren & John Douglas Ryman, Hunter & Nicole Ryman, Brett Baker, Brock Van Dyke; step-grandchildren Alex & Reaghan and her name sake, great niece Myra Ryman of California.
A visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Nichols Street Church of Christ with Bro. Larry McComber officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Doug Ryman, Jr., Marty Van Dyke, Jim Bob Van Dyke, Kenneth Ryman, Jr., Bryan Baker, Crystal Baker, Aaron Street, Clint Sullivan & Tyler Sullivan.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be made to Nichols Street Church of Christ Harvest House. Myra will be missed by all those her knew and loved her.
