Our sweet CHRISTmas miracle Morghan Katherine Jex, born December 25th, 1995 went to her heavenly home on January 28th, 2017. She is a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bay City, Texas. She was a part of the music ministry team, and an active member of the Life Teen community. She attended Holy Cross Catholic School, McAllister Middle School, Bay City Jr. High, and Bay City High School. Where she was a member of HOSA, Dungeoneers, P.O.W.E.R.S.E.T, Leo Club, NHS, Aristocats, and graduated in the top ten of her class. After high school she attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Where she became a member of the household, Madonna of the Streets. Her passion for the unborn led her to Washington D.C where she participated in the March For Life. Morghan had the incredible experience of traveling to Pennsylvania and seeing Pope Francis with her Franciscan sisters. She returned home to spend time with her family, and attend Wharton County Jr. College. Morghan was studying to become a nurse. Morghan's love of people led her to volunteer at the Women's Pregnancy Center where she mentored other women through their maternal journey. She also had the opportunity to shadow other nurses at Matagorda Regional Hospital where she spent most of her time in the neonatal unit.

Morghan was passionate in everything that she did. Her love of life and family was a reflection of her love for Christ. She continuously gave of herself for others, requiring nothing in return. One of Morghan's sweetest blessings was being able to care for the children of many families. Her sweet smile, beautiful dimples, and infectious laughter lifted the spirits of all who she encountered. In her twenty-one short years, she impacted an immense amount of people through her obedience to the Lord. During her illness prayers were sent from around the world, as a testimony to the Power of Morghan.

She is survived by her parents, Brad and Priscilla Jex of Bay City, Texas, sisters Meghan and Madaline Jex, and her sweet nephew Max. As well as, her maternal grandparents Hortencia and Louis Tejeda. Uncles, Brian (Kathy) Jex, Mike (Kim) Jex, Aunt Diane (Dave) Robie, and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Inocensia Hernandez and Felipa Muniz.

Her celebration of life will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The viewing and rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. with mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31st. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
