Monica Louise Dement, 32, of Bay City passed away May 11, 2024. She was born August 25, 1991, in Bay City.  Monica loved the beach, water, and the stars. She loved music, dancing, smiling, and spending time with her many friends and family. She had a bright and loving personality that could make the sunshine on the darkest of days. She was the type of person whose presence could light up a room as soon as she walked in. She loved her children most of all.

Survivors include her parents Joe Wilbert Dement, Jr. (Lori) and Beth Lena Baros Dement; maternal grandmother Dolores Arendall; daughter Addison Kay Hernandez; son Aries Zander Garcia; sister Tabitha Nicole Dement (Efrain) and brother Keith Paul Dement (Holly); Fiancé Ian Anderson. Also, many cousins, nieces, and nephews

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 5-7:00pm, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Taylor Bros. with Rev. Melvin Ryman officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery.  Pallbearers for Monica will be Ricardo Luera, Ruben Lewis, Ellis Lewis, Efrain Lara, Matthew Baldwin, and Keith Paul Dement.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Rhian Bowman and Andrew Weigt.
