Mona Christine "Chrissy" Stavinoha, 58, of Pledger ,Tx passed away October 16, 2018. She was born October 21, 1959 in Wharton, TX to the late Willis Marion Sherrill and Annie Estella Balusek Sherrill.

Mona married the love of her life Tim Stavinoha on August 12, 1978 and they had one child Amy Stavinoha Benavides.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jimmy Jenkins. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Tim Stavinoha; daughter Amy Jo Benavides (Tommy); brothers Buddy Sherrill (Kathy) and Alan Sherrill (Margaret) and her grandchildren Miracle Annie Benavides and Grant "Buster" Benavides.

She was a graduate of Boling High School and attended Lamar University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. Her love of teaching lasted 30 years. The apple of her eye were her two precious grandchildren, Miracle and Buster with whom she was dedicated in every aspects of their lives, from Annie's Cheer and Dance to Buster's Soccer and Karate.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home followed by services at 4:00 PM with Matt Springfield officiating.
