Mona Lee Smith, 67, of Bay City, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026. She was born on April 5, 1959, in Redding, California.

Mona dedicated 29 years of her life to working at H-E-B. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and so many others. She cared so deeply for so many. She was like a mother to all. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, and spending time with friends and her animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Marie Stuber. She is survived by her sons, Denton and Wife Dana, Joseph and Wife Toni, and Michael and Wife Cyndi; daughter, Docia Marie; sister, Lesa and husband Jim Zortman; and her 16 beloved grandchildren.

A celebration of Mona’s Life will be scheduled at a later date.
