Modesto Oros, 65, of Bay City passed away June 7, 2009. He was born April 10, 1944 in San Benito, Texas to Santiago Oros, Sr. & Beatriz Guiterres Oros. "Mo" was a longtime resident of Bay City. He worked as a bartender for many years and later owned and operated restaurants in Bay City.

His father and a son Johnny Oros preceded him in death. Survivors include his mother, Beatriz Oros ; wife Ruby Matura Oros; daughter Annette Oros; step-sons Gary Carter, Michael Green, David Green & LeRoy Green all of Bay City; sisters Beatrice Flores, Gloria Cadriel, & Alice Marroquin; brothers Santiago Oros, Jr., Gustavo Oros, Antonio Oros, Robert Oros, Armando Oros, Reynaldo Oros & Eleno Oros; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Santiago Oros, Jr, Gustavo Oros, Antonio Oros, Robert Oros, Armando Oros, & Eleno Oros.
