Mildred Krenek Lawless, 89, of Sweeny, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 in Bay City. She was born April 16, 1922 in Randlett, Oklahoma to the late Frank John Krenek and Myrtle Vivian Allison Krenek. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sweeny.

She is survived by her daughter: Juanita Griffin of Houston; by her sons: James Evans Lawless & wife Betty Ellen of Flower Mound and Larry Eugene Lawless and wife Nancy of Lake Jackson; by her sisters: Betty Warn of Bay City, Joyce Ulrich of Livingston and Louise Jernigan of Kirbyville; by brother: Frank Krenek of Houston; by grandchildren: Cynthia Griffin, Randall Griffin, John David Lawless, Mark Evans Lawless, Mary "Sissy" Barnes and John Robert Monical; by step grandchildren: Katy Lowe and Haley Lowe; and by her great grandchildren: Travis Griffin, Madison Griffin, Jake and MacKensee Lawless, Brooke, Caleb and Natalie Lawless, Jared and Kristin Monical, Amanda Barnes and Jacob Monical. She was preceded in death by her parents; by husband Evans Willie Lawless; and by sisters: Lucille Krenek and Jean Brown.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of Sweeny. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Sweeny with Rev. Jeryl Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Sweeny Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Griffin, Travis Griffin, Madison Griffin, Maness Griffin, John Lawless and Mark Lawless.
