Michael Dean "Mike" Ogden, 66, of Bay City, passed away on January 2, 2026. He was born on September 23, 1959, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Donald Ogden and Dorothy Watters Ogden.

After many years of dedicated service in the United States Navy, Mike relocated his family from New York to Texas, where he built a long and successful career as a nuclear operator at the South Texas Project (STP) Nuclear Plant until his retirement. Known for his sharp mind and persistence, he enjoyed collecting and repairing computers and was always happiest when he was figuring out how things worked.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Ogden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Wegiel Ogden; his daughters, Stephanie Cruz and husband Omar, and Michelle Soliz; his brother, Steven Ogden; and his cherished grandchildren, Christian Soliz, Amelia Cruz, Liliana Soliz, Araceli Cruz, and Ian Soliz.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SPCA in Mike's honor.
