Miguel Aleman Castaneda, Jr. aka Blinky 38, of Van Vleck went home to be with the lord September 8, 2021. He was born September 12, 1982 in Beeville, Texas.

Miguel worked at Matagorda Concrete for 4 years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids on vacation, camping, cruises, the beach, and playing video games. He also enjoyed going out on the boat and hunting with his brother Albert, and spending time with family and friends. Let's not talk about his sense of fashion. Blinky would wear his favorite red shorts with a fluorescent yellow stripe down the leg with any non-matching shirt and boots or crocs with a ball cap. If you knew Blinky then you know he knew how to make everyone laugh. He was loud, wild, and the life of the party. He definitely thought he had Jerrica in check. Anytime someone would ask about her he would make a silly remark, but as soon as she entered the room he knew to be quiet. He left countless memories to his loved ones to be cherished for many years to come.

He is survived by his wife Jerrica Nichole Castaneda; his parents Miguel Castaneda,Sr. and Amelia Aleman Castaneda; maternal grandmother Adela Yzaguirre Aleman; paternal grandmother Adela Flores; daughters Kaylyn Ray Castaneda, Leslie Ray Castaneda and Jaycie Marie Robles; sons Miguel Alexander Castaneda III and Brayden Joe Castaneda and granddaughter Ar'Kayla Castaneda; sister Rebecca Cuellar (Michael) of Victoria, Tx; brothers Frank Perez (Monica) of Wadsworth, Tx and Albert Castaneda of Bay City, Tx, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Rose of Sharon Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Solis, John Michael Solis, Joe Fernandez, Juan Flores, Jr., Albert Castaneda and Daniel Bueno, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Miguel Alexander Castaneda III, Brayden Joe Castaneda and Frank Perez.
