Michael Joseph Lawrence Mendek, 87, of Bay City passed away December 16, 2025.  He was born October 10, 1938 in Albany, New York.  He proudly served as a Staff Sargent in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ruth Loretta Mendek.

Survivors include daughter Joanna Pena; sons Scott Mendek and Michael Mendek, Jr.; sister Angie Mendek and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM with Chris Webber officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
