Mena Trammell, 83, of Pasadena passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 in Houston. She was born May 4, 1926 in Karnes City, Texas to the late Norberto & Paula Gutierrez Esquivel. Mena was married in July 1955 to Thomas Raymond Trammell, Sr. In Robstown Texas. They moved to Bay City in 1969 where they raised their children.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Yolanda Garcia of Austin and Birdie Salazar of Pasadena; 2 sons: Tim Trammell of Pasadena and Terry Trammell of Houston; sister: Minerva Galvan of Corpus Christi; 5 brothers: Daniel, Crisanto, Juan, Jose, and Norberto Esquivel Jr.; grandchildren: Mandy & Bob Pape, Christine & Eligio Salinas, Elizabeth & Earl Sadewasser, Crystal Ward, Joe & Jennifer Salazar, Raymond & Julia Salazar, Timothy Nathan Trammell Jr., Ryan Cook-Trammell, and Elisa Cook-Trammell; and 12 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband Thomas R. Trammell Sr., and son Thomas R. Trammell Jr. preceded Mrs. Trammell in death.

A funeral service was held 10:00 AM Monday, April 5, 2010 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Scott Sieben officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
