Melba Joyce McCrory, 91, of Palacios, Texas passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was born September 24, 1929 in Palacios, to the late Henry James and Charlsie Morning Brister.

Melba was raised on a farm and always had multiple chores to do.  She was always invested in her children, and she also loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Robert L. McCrory, and daughter: Carolyn McCrory Schneider.

She is survived by her 3 sons: Bob McCrory & wife Riza, Henry McCrory & wife Cheryl, and Rick McCrory; daughter, Mary Harris & husband Tommy; brother: L. J. Brister; 4 grandsons: Robert W. McCrory, Matthew Lewis, James McCrory, and Justin McCrory; 7 granddaughters: Misty McCrory, Christina Lambert, Rachel Lambert, Lisa McCrory, Tracie Harris, Stephanie Harris, and Beatriz Valle; 13 great grandsons; and 10 great granddaughters.

The family will receive friends and relatives at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2021 for a visitation at Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Lloyd Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: James McCrory, Justin McCrory, Josh Wharton, Joe Ybarra, Barry Burch, and Billy Christmas.
