Maxine Glover, 94, of Bay City passed away January 8, 2026. She was born September 21, 1931 in Poteet, Texas to the late George William Townsend and Lola Spencer Townsend.

She enjoyed baking and having friends over for coffee and games in the afternoon. There never was a cup of coffee that she turned down.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J. C. Glover and a son George William Glover.

Survivors include her son, Gary Glover and his wife Roanne, Harrison and Krista Stow and Christina Stow, great grandchildren Carter and Peyton Stow.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the First Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.

Members of the Faithful Class at Frist Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
