Maunsell Bennett "Doc" Fatheree, 82, of Midfield passed away September 21, 2018. He was born June 8, 1936 in Alexandria, Louisiana to the late Sidney Pierce Fatheree and Juanita Foreman Fatheree.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jason Walker Fatheree and son-in-law Harold Cates.

Survivors include his wife Ann Richardson Fatheree; daughter Sonia Fatheree; daughter-in-law Nancy Fatheree; step-children Lisa Sliva McKissick, Jaimie Sliva and Fabacher Sliva; sister Billie Brooks; brother James Fatheree and grandchildren Jenna Langhorne, Sterling Sliva and John Fatheree.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Midfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marshall Richardson, Spencer Gambacurta, Robert Giumarra, Fabacher Sliva, David Krenek, Kevin McKissick and Gary Orsak. Robin Sparks, Randy Cormier, Doc's American Legion Hall buddies and his buddies from Dorothy's Cowboy Country Corner will serve as honorary pallbearers.
