Marylou Strawbridge (nee Heckner), 87 , of Van Vleck, TX passed away February 23, 2015 in Bay City, TX. She was born on March 21, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland to Louis George and Mary Meyers Heckner.

Marylou was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, Altar Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at the hospital along with the American Red Cross and Hospice. She enjoyed playing tennis and being a Red Hat member.

Marylou is preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin Ronald Strawbridge and Great Granddaughter Kyndall Pickard. She is survived by son Paul Francis Strawbridge of Pelham, NH and daughter Janet Strawbridge Pickard of Van Vleck, TX; grandchildren Catherine Strawbridge Burns of Pelham, NH, Paul Joseph Strawbridge of Amherst, NH and Timothy Lee Pickard of Fulshear, TX; great grandchildren Payton Pickard of Fulshear, TX, Nicholas and Joseph Burns of Pelham, NH; brothers L. George Heckner of Delafield, WI and Gordon Heckner of Houston, TX. Memorial Mass Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
