Obituary
Mary Ann Yates, 73, went to be with her Lord on September 24, 2017. She was born January 31, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mary Ann was a woman of much love, hard work and determination, and touched several lives. She was considered by many, a loving soul and a best friend. Mary Ann cherished being in the company of those she loved, and never found it hard to make new friends.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Harvey Arnold Yates, who passed away September 23, 2013. They married in Long Beach, CA on August 28, 1965 and spent 48 wonderful years together.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons; Mike Yates and wife Amy, and Harvey Yates Jr. Four sisters; Dee Dee Luedders and husband Bob, Irene Tamez-Henry, Rosie Willis, and Yvonne Tamez-Matchett and husband James. One brother; Richard Tamez. Grandaughter; Mia Ann Yates, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 30th at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck; 9210 TX-35, Van Vleck, TX 77482, or any charity of your choosing.
