Mary C. Torres, 80, of Palacios passed away May 16, 2017. She was born January 8, 1937 in Arizona to the late Olivia Colunga.

She was preceded in death by two husbands Johnny Brandstatt and Pablo Torres and a son Rebel Brandstatt. Survivors include daughter Katie Ibarra & husband Romualdo of Blessing; sons Gregory Torres & wife Irene of Palacios and David Brandstatt of Palacios; sisters Yolanda Aleman, Mayflower Nevarrez and Rosa Nevarrez; brothers Eddie Nevarrez and Noe Nevarrez; grandchildren Summer Brandstatt, Sylvia Villarreal, Ricky Ibarra, Steven Ibarra, Daniel Ibarra, Mark Ibarra, Noe Ibarra and Noemi Ibarra; great grandchildren Ismael Villarreal, Eric Villarreal, Zayde Villareal, Aiden Ibarra, Aubree Ibarra, Aleza Beard and Jayden Beard and great-great grandchild Ismael Villarreal, Jr.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Ibarra, Noe Ibarra, Daniel Ibarra, Noe Nevarrez, Eddie Nevarrez and Greg Torres.
