Mary "Bobbie" McClure Swenson, 90, passed away at the Grace Home Hospice in Shreveport LA, July 7, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 21, 1914 in Spottswood, Virginia to the late John Marshall and Mary Storey McClure. Bobbie was the granddaughter of Dr. Granville Storey, former minister of the First Presbyterian Church of Bay City.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years: Ralph T. Swenson; daughter: Mary Frances Swenson; 2 sons & daughters-in-law: Marshall Eugene & Cynthia Cupit Swenson, and Ralph T. Swenson, Jr. & Barbara Goins Swenson; 2 grandchildren: Jennifer Ellen Swenson and Eric Marshall Swenson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister: Frances McClure Fetters.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday July 12, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bay City with Rev. John-Nelson Pope officiating. Interment will follow at Olivia Cemetery in Olivia, TX. Pallbearers will be her nephews: Gene Klepac, Chris Steinmann, Dale Klepac, Matthew Klepac, Dennis Abraham, and Dave Wilson.
