Mary Sue Snyder was born on April 4, 1946 in Bay City, Texas to James and Ivy McKissick. She went to be with the lord on July 14, 2021. Mary was known not only for her love of family, but also for her acceptance and love of all who met her. She was a cherished member of the Van Vleck community and served numerous years as a VVISD employee.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Guy Snyder Sr., sisters Sandra Joyner and Elizabeth Johnson, brother James McKissick, and daughter Debbie Tucker (Timothy Sr.) and their children Chrissy, Timothy Jr., and Brandi; daughter Donna Bruening (Wayne Sr.) and children Wayne Jr., Tiffany, Wesley, and Wade; daughter Patricia Thomas and children Odie Jr., Savanna, Woody, Cody, Heather, and Brian; Son Guy Snyder Jr. and children Paul and Trent; Son Steven Snyder Sr. and children Steven Snyder Jr., Devyn, April, and Jonathan. As well as her 37 great grandchildren and her beloved puppy Tiny.

Mrs. Snyder is preceded in death by her father James McKissick, mother Ivy Lusty and husband Les, brothers Paul and Phillip McKissick, son in law Odie Sr., and great grandson Dakoda Cartwright.

Funeral Services for Mary will be 2:00pm Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck, Texas with Matthew Gore and Melvin Ryman officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers for Mrs. Snyder will be Paul Snyder, Odie Thomas Jr., Wesley Bruening, Steven Snyder Jr., Cody Thomas, and Wade Bruening. Honorary pallbearers are Timothy Tucker Jr., Wayne Bruening Jr., Trent Snyder, Woody Thomas, and Brian Thomas.
