Mary Ann Russell Shaw, 74, of Bay City, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her home. She was born October 19, 1934 in Warrick County, Indiana to Allen Niles Russell and Dessie Evelyn Wetzel Russell. She was a businesswoman, a life member of VFW Post 2438 Ladies Auxiliary in Bay City and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bay City.

She is survived by her daughters: Diana Ellis of Paramount, CA, Sandra Winberry of Piggott, AR and Vickie Saa of Oceanside, CA; her son: Donald Embry of Bay City, TX; her step-children: Barbara Joy Bazzell of Grand Prairie, TX and William Shaw of Redding, CA; her sister: Lee McGuire of Bay City; her brothers: Richard Russell of Oklahoma City, OK, James Russell of Vista, CA, Dennis Russell of San Diego, CA, Danny Russell of San Diego, CA and Don Russell of Bay City; and by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter "Bud" Shaw; her parents: Allen Niles Russell and Dessie Evelyn Wetzel Russell; and by her brothers: Robert Russell and David Russell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Chris Bischoff officiating. Pallbearers will be Don Russell, Dennis Russell, Dan Russell, Don Embry, Mike Benedict and Misael Saa.

Interment will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, June 12, 2009 at Mount Zion Christian Church Cemetery in Santa Clause, IN under the direction of Fuller Funeral Home of Dale, IN (812) 937-2181.
