Mary P. Rosas, 65, of Palacios, Texas passed away on September 12, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born August 28, 1960 in New Gulf, Texas to the late Fred Peña Jr. and Leocadia Peña Chavez.

Mary loved gardening and creating the most beautiful floral arrangements. Among that she had many other hobbies which included fishing, cooking and listening to her favorite music, classic rock and oldies.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Everyone loved her dearly

She is survived by her husband, Jose Luis Rosas, daughters Tracy Lopez (Ismael) and Valeria Khaleel, son Jose Luis Rosas Jr. (Brittney Hogan). Grandchildren, Isabella and Sebastian Aguilera, Elvira and Ahmad Jr. Khaleel and Matilda Rosas. Sisters Judy Herrera and Sylvia Gonzales and brothers Fred Peña III, Rudy Peña and Steven Peña.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the Palacios Funeral Home.  A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery.
