Mary Edith Jeanes McKelvy, 85, of Bay City passed away March 9, 2019. She was born December 28, 1933 in San Bernardino, CA to the late Cecil Byron Jeanes and Mary Leona Hayes Jeanes.

She began each day with bible study. Her other favorites were spending time with her family, swimming, Bridge Club, sewing, shopping and slot machines.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Perry Jeanes and her sister Vere Shelton.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, C. V. McKelvy, Sr.; children Sherry McKelvy, Clifton McKelvy, Jr. & wife Lety, Patti McKelvy and Jay McKelvy & wife Evyan; brother C. B. Jeanes; sister Jeannie Wyatt; grandchildren Jennifer Harrison, Jessica McClintock, Mark Adkins II, Mary Slayden, Tyler McKelvy, Noelle Harrison, Elizabeth Bradley, Kathryn Longoria and Laura Wendtland; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pauline Harvey-Storey officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Adkins, Jason McClintock, Tyler McKelvy, Mitchell Slayden, George McKelvy and Clifton Stroud.
