Mary Louise Kopecky McCormack, 82, died on May 16, 2025 in Houston with her three children at her side. Mary Louise was born June 24, 1942, the daughter of Alfred Kopecky and Julia Marek Kopecky.

Mary Louise was valedictorian of Tidehaven High School in El Maton. She graduated with a degree in Biology from University of St. Thomas in Houston.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James Terrence "Terry" McCormack and two sisters-in-law, Peggy McCormack and Betsy Coleman Kopecky.

She is survived by her children: Erin (James J.) Buettgen, Sharon (Jason) Elder, and James A. (Kris) McCormack; seven grandchildren: Reid (Shelby) Elder, Madison (Caleb) Elder-Hernandez, Hunter Elder, Aiden Buettgen, Reina McCormack, Trevor Buettgen and Eden McCormack; a brother: Alfred A. Kopecky, M.D.; two nieces: Kathryn Schaper and Susan (Mark) Hellinger; and one nephew: Alfred (Elizabeth) Kopecky.

Mary Louise was an avid shopper and gardener. She worked tirelessly as the "gopher" for her husband's CPA firm for many years.

Funeral Mass is at 10:00AM on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Blessing. Burial following at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing.

In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to St. Laurence Catholic Church of Sugar Land or St. Peter's Catholic Church of Blessing.
