Mary Katherine Jewell, 88, of Palacios passed away August 7, 2020. She was born November 10, 1931 in Nome, TX to the late Willery V. Richard and Julia L. Gilcrease Richard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Myra Gilcrease; brothers Thomas Stanton Richard and Sidney Pete Richard and grandson Travis Lee Jewell.

Survivors include her daughters Regena Faye Jewell and Betty Marie Jewell Gill (Robert); sons James Larry Jewell (Annie), David Wayne Jewell (Betty Holter) and Leroy Scott Jewell; brother Joseph Ralph Richard; grandchildren Jason Larry Jewell, Brandon Davis Jewell and Isabella Katherine Lucio and great grandchildren Austin Jewell, Riley Jewell, Dacey Jewell and Bodey Jewell.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the Palacios Cemetery with Rev. Louis Rush officiating. Pallbearers will be James Jewell, David Jewell, Leroy Jewell, Jason Jewell, Brandon Jewell and Robert Gill.
