Mary Fanson, 70 of Wadsworth, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Bay City. She was born April 24, 1936 in Bay City to the late Henry B. Lewis and Irene "MeMe" Bruce Lewis. She was a lifelong resident of Matagorda County and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband: George A. Fanson of Wadsworth; her daughters and sons-in-law: Carrie & Lonnie Fultz of Wadsworth, Carmin & Craig Bertling of Kingsbury and Suzie & Rodney Smith of Wadsworth; by her sister: Jessie Kay of Brazoria; by nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hardaway officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Ricky Hernandez, Joey Hernandez, Steve Martinez, Larry Lewis, David Walker and Dewayne Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Fultz, Craig Bertling and Rodney Smith.
