Mary Ellen Hooks Garza, 56, of Bay City, passed away April 20, 2020. She was born December 12, 1963 in El Campo, TX to Felipe Munoz Hooks and Conception Ureste Hooks.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Nancy Hooks.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert Garza, Sr.; daughter Rachel Lynn Torres; sons Gilbert Garza, Jr. and Nicholas Reyna; sisters Jo Ann Lombardi, Phyllis Guerra, Elizabeth Hooks and Gracie Hooks; brothers Reynaldo Hooks, Sr., Andy Hooks and David Hooks, and granddaughter Arianna Hope Garza.
