Obituary
Mary Cruz, 72, of Markham passed away November 29, 2014. She was born March 1, 1942 in Wharton, TX to the late Secundino Alameda and Yrenia Ballejo Alameda.
She was preceded in death by two daughters Gloria Cruz and Anna Marie Cruz and three sisters Rebecca D. Tristan, Rachel Estraca and Ophelia Houston.
Survivors include her husband Amando Cruz; daughters Yrenia Cruz and Joann Saenz; sons Johnny Amando Cruz, Maximo Cruz (Cynthia), & Martin Anthony Cruz (Celestina); sisters Alecia Garcia, Eva Trevino (Ben), Elva Rebeles (Frank) and Francis Martin (Jim); brother Secundino Alameda III (Dominga); grandchildren Leslie Ann Cruz, Brittany Michelle Martinez (Ricardo), Zoe Renee Cruz, Tristan Anthony Cruz, Trinity Nicole Cruz and Joseph Mark Colten and great granddaughter Audrina Xitlali Martinez.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Markham with Rev. Howard Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Cruz, Robert Cruz, Joseph Martin, Bennie Trevino, Jonathan Ortiz and Secundino Alameda IV.
