Obituary

Mary Sue Collier, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at her home in Bay City. She was born November 10, 1921 in Ione, AR to the late Jesse Henderson Bryant and Lillie Ann Johnson Bryant. She was a long time resident of Matagorda County, past President of the Tidehaven Booster Club, and formerly owned and operator of the Suds-Ur-Duds laundry in Markham.

She is survived by her 3 daughters: Kyy Minkert of Bay City, Sue Neuman of Angleton and Sharon Card of Markham; 4 sisters-in-law: Isabelle Hardison of Vernon, TX, Josephine Willbanks of Floydada, TX, Leone Greenwood and Bonnie Collier both of Arlington, TX; Sister: Jo Ann Collier of Lake Jackson; and by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband: Floydd Glynn Collier; sons: Calvin Cale Collier and Floydd Glynn Collier, Jr.; by her parents: Jesse H. & Lillie A. Bryant; and by 5 brothers: Hedrick, Edgar, Newt, Nile, and Bill Bryant.

The Family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday September 30, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX. Pallbearers will be: Creighton Collier, Phillip Gray, Casey Hendersen, Billy Minkert, Ray Petersen, and Glynn Wilcox. Honorary Pallbearers will be: David Card, John Kenneth Neuman, and T. John Neuman.
