Mary Alice Buentello, 57, of Palacios, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 in Palacios, TX. She was born October 31, 1953 in New Gulf, TX to Francisco L. Buentello and Frances Aparicio Buentello. She was raised in Palacios, has worked in Chicago, IL, and has resided in Palacios for the past 5 years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Palacios and a Librarian.

She is survived by her parents: Francisco Luis Buentello and Frances Aparicio Buentello of Palacios; by her sisters: Lucy Marie Cantu of Alice and Mary Helen Anderson of Richwood; by her brothers: Francisco Luis Buentello, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Richard Buentello of Alexandria, VA, Fr. Mike Buentello of Houston, Danny Buentello of Lake Jackson, Steve Buentello of Angleton, Patrick Buentello of Angleton, Ralph Buentello of Victoria, and Carlos Buentello of Angleton; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 16, 2010 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Palacios with Rev. Mike Buentello, Rev. Bryan Heyer, and Rev. Dan Morales officiating. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Her brothers will serve as pallbearers.
