Mary M. Brune, 89, of Palacios entered into her Heavenly Home on May 18, 2008. She was born on August 15, 1918 in Borden, Texas to the late Frank & Elizabeth Porkorni Dolezal.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, enjoyed gardening and was a devout Catholic.

Mary raised and loved 9 children, enjoyed 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She prayed for each and every child.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters; son Kenneth Brune and grandson Kyle Weed. Survivors include sons and their wives Sonny & JoAnn Brune of Markham, Jack Brune of Blessing, Royce & Patti Brune of Wharton & Michael Brune of Palacios; daughters & their husbands Joyce & Trammel Hunter of Palacios, Sharon Dean of Palacios, & Deborah & Rick Williams of El Campo; and daughter-in-law Bobbi Brune of Palacios.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Palacios Funeral Home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Dowomoh officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery.
