Marvin James Saha, 65, of El Maton, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was born November 22, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to the late Emil Louis and Lena Prihoda Saha. He was raised on the family farm in El Maton, and continued until 2017. He loved checking on his cows, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Garry Saha; and 2 brother-in-laws: Marion Gilbert and Carl "Bubba" Smith. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 46 years: Charlotte Smith Saha; son: Greg Saha & wife Rebecca; 2 daughters: Jane Saha Beebe & husband Douglas and Kara Saha McHugh & husband Patrick; 5 grandchildren: Paytyn, Nathan, & Samuel Saha, and George & Saralena McHugh; brother: Mike Saha & wife Janet; 4 sisters: Suzanne Kucera & husband David, Anned Gilbert, Kathy Boyett & husband Tommy, and Cynthia Heard & husband Steve; and sister-in-law: Sharon Saha.
The family will receive family and friends 9:00am Friday, March 12, 2021 for visitation at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing, Texas with a Rosary beginning at 9:30am. Mass will immediately follow at 10:00am. Interment will be at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing. Pallbearers are special friends: Bill Crow, Bryan Crow, Javier Calixto, and nephews: Mikey Saha, Chris Boyett, Brent Heard and Steven Gilbert.
A special thank you to the Matagorda Regional ICU Team. We could have not asked for more. You guys are great. Thank you for treating us like family.
