Marvin Lloyd Curtis, 91, of Palacios, TX passed away December 1, 2017. He was born December 19, 1925 in Palacios, TX to George W. Curtis and Ethlyn Verle Miller.

Marvin was a lifelong resident of Palacios, business man, volunteer fire fighter, served in Armed Forces, Mayor of Palacios, husband to Barbara, father to Robby and Renalynn, grandfather and great-grandfather and loved to deer hunt.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara Curtis and daughter in law Kathy O. Curtis. He is survived by his son Robert Curtis of Palacios, daughter Renalynn Curtis Willis of Bay City, grandchildren Heather Curtis, Jason Polasek, Scott Willis, and Thomas Willis, great-grandchildren LeAnn Willis, Brenton Willis, Scott Willis, Jr. and Sady Willis.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, December 8, 2017 at Palacios Funeral Home. Services are at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2017 at First United Methodist Church of Palacios with Rev. David King officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steven Curtis, Mark Koening, Donald Ressler, Mike Morey, Bill Van Cleave and Ollie Vargas. Honorary Pallbearers are Curtis Pease, Jason Polasek and Mike Novak.
